The West Virginia Environment Association is an affiliate of the national Water Environment Federation (WEF) – a global non-profit organization of over 30,000 members who keep the world’s water clean in various capacities. The members of WVWEA include professional water and wastewater operators, water and wastewater engineers, planners, chemists, microbiologists, ecologists, regulators, public health officials, scientists and researchers, communicators and educators and operators of wastewater treatment works.
There are currently over 250 members in the state. The major function of the Association is to assist and educate our membership in matters related to the wastewater industry by sponsoring classes throughout the state and by helping our members in all areas of the operations of their facilities.
